Before Ryan and Anthony met at Bryce Gilmore’s acclaimed Odd Duck restaurant in December 2013, they had been traveling across the country in pursuit of their calling. Ryan came to Austin to learn more about cooking in the fastest growing food-city in America. Anthony came to take part in the city’s unique and blooming culture.
They both cooked through various restaurants and eventually started from the bottom at Odd Duck. Over the next year and a half, they learned how Gilmore and his team approached farm to table cuisine utilizing various classic and modern techniques.
Armed with this invaluable knowledge, they decided to venture from the Odd Duck and create Gather and Forge, a company which will lay the groundwork for like-minded chefs to nourish hungry clients and showcase their talent.
