  Firewurst at Briercreek was really good. Then there's old Raleigh restaurants on Glenwood between Crabtree & Briercreek like The Peddler Steakhouse ( https://m.facebook.com/The-Peddler-Steak-House-of-Raleigh-105073649527692/ ) and Casa Carbone (https://m.facebook.com/CasaCarbone/ ) Both have been there forever and are nice, quaint places (and good!)
