  Hi everyone, I need some advice and since you all have gaited horses maybe you can help ?? I've owned a KMSH for 5 years, she paces, and step paces, occasionally I get a 4 beat but only for 30 seconds at a time. I've changed to a dressage saddle as a gaited trainer who lives 2 hours away from me said my western type was impinging on her shoulders, nope still paces. I've taken lessons for years for dressage type riding with natural horsemanship skills. Lowering her head and working over ground poles hasn't done it. I went to a clinic over the weekend where a gaited trainer and show winning rider said to uses an overcheck bridle with draw reins would fix a pacer, there was one at the clinic ( I audited ) it did help some but that seems contrary to what I've been taught, please any ideas or thoughts ?? I'm south of Denver if anyone knows a trainer or is she just gonna pace ?
