  My mechanic recently retired, I trusted him. Went to someone new and recommended for an oil change and to "feel them out" a little. Going in I knew I needed brakes, but was also told I needed tune up, spark plugs and air filter - just got new spark plugs etc 8 months ago so I'm feeling a bit negative about this place. Any suggestions for an honest place for a 2nd opinion??

  I've been in that boat (with pretty much the same car and situation too!) - I always took it to https://www.facebook.com/382692359275 Treasure Coast Automotive . they handled my repairs with great timing, honesty and everything was always done correctly for a really fair price.   Between now and the time you get your window fixed, you can use suction cups to hold the window in place. You can find them at a craft store. Hold the window up and place two suction cups at the very bottom of the window and voila. Temporary fix. Great advice from Andrew at https://www.facebook.com/382692359275 Treasure Coast Automotive when my husband's back window would not stay up. We sold his car that way. lol
