I was told of friends of animals coupons however, my Vet no longer takes that coupon. Can anyone recommend a low cost neuter to take her to that wont break my bank.

  UPDATE! CAT IS GOING TO East Meadow Animal Hospital. Will post in lost & found. Good samartian standing by (11:25am) in East Meadow where he came across this sick/injured cat (wounds on neck). Finder is able to pet and give water but cat needs medical attention ASAP. Pastore at TOHAS does not dispatch ACO's for HOURS, so please, is there a local rescuer who can tend to and assess?   A while back I posted about eventually looking for a dog to adopt. Well the time has come to start looking. I have kids aged 4 and 6. My 6 year old is nervous around dogs after being chased by one. We also have a cat. A lot of the places charge hundreds of dollars to adopt a dog. Are there people /places that don't charge that much? I understand that it costs a lot for them to save animals. It's not that we can't afford the money is just that we could spend that much more on things that the dog needs. We looked at the dogs at The North Shore Animal League yesterday and last weekend but they didn't have any adult dogs that are good with young kids. We are planning to have a look at Brookhaven since they are only charging $50 this month. Does anyone know of any other places to try?
