About us
Schnauzer Friends - South Africa is the largest, happiest and craziest breed specific community in South Africa (and probably the world). We WELCOME all schnauzer lovers and love, celebrate, share and enjoy the Schnauzer breed with a focus on Schnauzer RESCUE. We are proudly a voice for the voiceless. We educate schnauzer owners on how best to look after this special breed, the importance of sterilizations, grooming, nutrition, heath as well as encourage group walks, outings, and anything fun to do with Schnauzers.
SCHNAUZER INFORMATION
Schnauzers are the most amazing doggies and need to be loved cherished pets, an active part of your family, sleep inside, get tummy tickles, lots of fresh healthy unprocessed (low fat) yummy food. They need to be groomed regularly and they have very sensitive tummies. They are social dogs so prefer to have schnauzer siblings. They get depressed if they don't have regular exercise, too little human interaction or are left outside all day. They need to sleep inside, preferably in your bed or room! We encourage schnauzer owners to feed their precious pooches a fresh, varied, natural, unprocessed diet.
If you don't yet have a schnauzer, and are thinking of getting a Schnauzer, we feel compelled to warn you that Schnauzers sneak into your heart and then slowly take it over bit by bit until they own your whole heart and never ever let it go ! NEVER EVER! You will become an addicted schnauzerholic like all of us! Yip, there is nothing you can do to fight it. It just happens! WHO WE ARE
Schnauzer Friends South Africa was founded by schnauzer besotted mom Deborah, and her three hooligan miniature schnauzers called Maximilian, Rosabella and Thomas from Johannesburg South Africa. Our community is run by a team of volunteer schnauzerholics and donations help us cover the costs of running the community and rescue programme.
