  I participated in the group meet up at South Florida Wildlife Care Center a couple years ago (which has been around since the late ‘60 s originally known as the Wild Bird Care Center). They do serious surgery and rehabilitation of injured birds and other wildlife. I’m not urging you away from another (maybe closer) qualified place - just want you to know a little more about SFWCC. 3200 SW 4 th Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 (their location is on the N perimeter of Ft. Lauderdale / Hollywood airport two minutes from I-95). They open at 8 am. Phone: (954) 524-4302. Best of luck with this guy. They do amazing things with gravely injured wildlife.
