  Thinking about getting my youngster spayed in a couple of months or so, rang the vet to enquire about a laparoscopic spay and was told bitches need to weigh at least 15 kg. She currently weighs around 5.5 kg - has anyone had a bitch that small spayed laparoscopically?

  No minimum weight, my old boss used to lap spay cats & some of those weighed less than 3 kg. It is most likely they do not have the smaller equipment to do the procedure on smaller pets. Have a look a Philip Lhermette at Elands, he pioneered this procedure in the UK www.elandsvet.co.uk
