Need someone new......my last Dentist looked and sounded too much like Howard Stern..... I like Howard, but not in a Dentist form. Really who likes the Dentist? I have health insurance, but it doesn't cover dental, so I'm out of pocket on this one. Anybody have any suggestions for affordable dental care?

  You could try the [USC dental school](http://dentistry.usc.edu/becoming_a_patient.aspx) if you're ok being seen by a student (supervised by a professional of course). Their initial exam is $88, but their other costs might be lower than a professional practice, at least according to their website. [Dr. Bjornbak at Sherman Oaks Dental](http://www.shermanoaksdental.com/) offers $29 initial exams/X-rays and comes *highly* recommended to me by my boyfriend, who went to him all through childhood and still sees him now, although his other services are probably more expensive than USC's dental school...
