Mine went out last summer in the midst of the 100 degree days and I had a used unit installed. Air worked fine but when it came time for heat I had to switch to the emergency heat because the unit would freeze up and not defrost. The guy who installed it apparently doesn't know how to fix it because he's been out 3 times and it still doesn't work right so all winter I've used the emergency heat. It would freeze up at night so I'd switch to the other heat and by the time he'd come out the temp had risen outside and thawed the ice off.
