There are many fishing lakes along the waveney valley but few that have the chance to stay in your caravan right next to the lake in a beautiful setting. Dave Gladwell who is a well known local fisherman with cherry tree fishing club wrote in the edp "Tucked away on the Old Yarmouth Road at Ellingham the Nursery Fishery, formerly under Nigel Bale, has fished well. At this pretty and sheltered venue, new proprietor Justin Block has retained it's day ticket price at £5 and £3 for under 14s although must be supervised.
The reasonable depth of water averages 4 feet and is well stocked with small bream, but some bigger ones to 5lb are caught.
Tench to 3lb exist with a very good head of roach and rudd. Bread is a really good bait here and this week easily put together 20lb of silver fish in a few hours. Ther are carp up to 15lb fishing close in at three metres by pole or waggler."
