  Corinna M. wrote: Arline Acres was careless and dishonest when transporting our horse Cody from NJ to CO in 2017. When getting updates during transport we were eventually told that Cody wasn't drinking as well as they'd like, but were assured that that was normal and no big deal. When they were 30 minutes out, we received a call making us aware that Cody "may be sunk in when taking off the blanket and very wobbly coming off the trailer". It sounded like his condition had gone from fine to serious in a very short time span. However, whenever we or witnesses voiced concern before, after or during transport, Arline Acres assured that everything was normal and they had the needed expertise. When voicing concern about Codys condition after transport they kept saying that "he's a Standardbred, they're tough" and "that's normal, just give him a week to adjust". I trusted their judgement until vets told us otherwise. When Cody arrived in CO, it turned out that he was dehydrated to the point that he could not recover from transport. He fought for his life for about a month, we finally had to put him to sleep when the vets noticed a toxic gum line. This caused more than $10,000 in vet bills. Not to mention Cody's suffering and the unimaginable void his passing leaves for us.
