I am the owner of Little Goose Music Time and we are a licensee with Kids Music Round.
BACKGROUND STORY:
I thought I would share my background story on here, bc some of you missed the first class when I shared this...I started my mommy and me music class in August of 2011, Little Goose Music Time at that time I became a licensee with Kids Music Round. I started a career in Recreation Therapy - where I was a Director of Recreation at many Nursing Homes/ Adult Day Care Centers. I left and put my career on hold to raise my daughter in 2004 - we then had another child, our son Timmy in 2008. Timmy has a life threatening medical condition called Trisomy 18. Its considered "incompatible with life" children who have this don’t usually live past one years old. Timmy in his short life has had 2 surgeries, 3 Hospital stays, too many sedated MRI’s and Cat-scans to even count and many other procedures. My husband and I attended a Kids Music Round Class with our daughter when she was little and loved the class as much as we did. I always wanted to take it with Timmy. But our days were filled with Therapy sessions, doctors and tests. We never had the time. But this summer, when Timmy finished Therapy we took a class. He loved it as I knew he would :-) Music has always been part of my life - I played the piano and clarinet when I was younger, was in marching band in school, and other activities. The one thing that really changed our life was Timmy ALWAYS responded to music - whether it was recording my parents baby grand piano on my phone, and playing it to calm him before a surgery or test before being sedated. Whether it is to put him to sleep, dancing around the house when things got rough or just for fun. Music is something everyone can enjoy no know matter age, gender, race, amount of money you have or disability you have. Since both my children are in school now- I decided to open my own business and make music even more a part of my life. Thank you for taking my class... show more and loving music as I do. show more
