Hi community! My sister in law is getting married at the Riverhead boathouse in March and is looking for a place to stay the night before with her bridesmaids. She was told about a place called “the homestead” but has had no luck finding it online. Can anyone suggest a place nearby? Thanks!
Tatjana R. replied:
Yes try Bev Kruse Country Bloom Accommodation for the bridesmaids. If you need any quiet accommodation for up to 3 guests, I run a boutique B&B in waimauku, 10 min drive from the venue. www.pukeatua.co.nz or Facebook.com/pukeatua

Hi guys, looking for a venue in the area for a small wedding (40-50 people) in March next year. Ideally looking for a very laid back and casual venue with a nice outdoor area. Does anyone know of anything?
Tatjana R. replied:
Hi Keely, we operate a B&B in Waimauku and have a lot of wedding guests staying with us. We've had amazing feedback about Markovina Estate, grace hill and settlers country manor. There's also a shed on SH16 in woodhill that do weddings, our guests really enjoyed this setting too. The newest venue is The Hunting Lodge, looks pretty awesome. Feel free to get in touch with me if you'd like contact details for any of them. facebook.com/pukeatua
