About us
The end game for Kingston's Music Showcase is to offer professional and amateur musicians alike a superior buying and playing experience. There is no competitor in our market with the level of sales and service that we offer.
Our clients are musicians that acquire guitars or basses, amps, keyboards and all the gear to go with them on a regular basis. They are building their collections and are looking for an alternative to the chain music stores. In the past, they sought the best lines by shopping online.
Kingston’s Music Showcase provides a professional, comfortable boutique in which they can interact with the product they wish to buy; play the instruments, get a feel for the weight and the action and the sound. All our guests receive special treatment every time they come to Kingston’s Music Showcase - and they know to expect knowledgeable staff will be on hand to assist them throughout their appointment.
Proprietor Rick Kingston has been in the music business for more 30 years, and, as a professional bassist, he understands the needs of musicians at all levels. Rick and his staff of experts will help the client find exactly what he or she needs in an atmosphere of ease and comfort. By scheduling an appointment, each client has the undivided attention of Kingston Music Showcase's staff and never will have to compete with the chaos found at the chain stores. This buying experience will be one to remember -and to repeat each time the musician seeks a new product.
Kingston’s Band Rehearsal Space, established in 2009, has a roster of more than 60 bands that practice in Room A and Room B on a regular basis. Our fully equipped (and we DO mean fully equipped) rehearsal studios and performance space give bands at every level of proficiency the opportunity to experiment and implement new material in a private, club-like setting.
With well than 150 musicians coming through Kingston's Music Showcase's doors monthly, we don't have a built-in clientele; we have a built-in,... show more extended family! All you do is carry in your instrument (or demo one of ours), bring cymbals and then plug 'n' play. Everything else - mains, wedges, amps, mics, stands, DI boxes, cords, drum kit and even music stands - is pre-set according to your wishes. (Hint: This saves your back as well as your time, which is your most precious commodity in today's fast-paced world.)
Our clients may elect to trade up to higher-end instruments, acquire pieces for their collections, have their gear serviced by a licensed technician in our shop and/or schedule their rehearsals, all in one boutique space.
