  Hello Everyone! I have recently fallen in love with the Working Equitation discipline and I'm hoping to start training for it soon. However, I have found it hard to find one place (a website or fb) that provides an accurate calendar laying out all the events and shows going on throughout the USA. Is there a place I can go where all these events are listed on? I will soon be moving to GA, but unfortunately their FB page doesn't seem to have many events/shows. Any help would be appreciated :)

  Go to WEIAUSA.com and subscribe to the EVENTS calendar. The competition year ends November 30, so you can expect to see a whole bunch of new events posted soon, all across the US. (Most of the Affiliates are still working on finalizing events for 2016, so at the moment there are not many listed, but there will be soon! The closest one to you coming up soon is in Tyler, TX, in a few weeks.

  At the moment, you're right that the areas with the most opportunity for Working Equitation events are places with WEIAUSA State Affiliates actively promoting the sport. If you (or others in the New Hampshire / Vermont, etc.) area are interested in learning more about becoming an Affiliate and helping get the sport going in your area, please feel free to write to us at info@weiausa.com. We would very much like to help support the effort to help others enjoy the sport all across the country.

  Hi Audra Hunter, it's important to know what rules the competition you are prepping for is using. WEIAUSA has a complete and comprehensive set for their competitions available for free download at weiausa.com . Just go to the website, find the page for "competitions" and scroll about halfway down the page. The rules are in a PDF for easy download. : )
