  David R. wrote: We found Robert Wineinger on FB marketplace and went to his website and subsequently went to his home where he had a few cactus and other items in his backyard. What we did not realize that the EXTREME majority of what he sells is not available to look at. He apparently buys them from someone else, marks them up and has them available for pick up or delivery at a later time. He also recommends the use of his crew of 4 people that charges $1000 a day to do the installation of the plants. What we were most disappointed with was after we met with Mr. Wineinger, we set up an appointment to have him come out to our home. He charges $100 for his time. Mr. Wineinger offers to even bring plants that we buy out to our home. We thought great! So, we took a picture of our front yard, sent it to him and then the trouble began. We did not realize that Mr. Wineinger wasn’t really interested in helping us do what we wanted to do. He wanted to spend his time upselling us into something else. Mr. Wineinger said that we had an “unusual front entry way and he would like to help us make it something special”, we thought great! But we told him that we had friends and family coming into town in a couple of weeks and that we wanted to get something planted before them come, and more importantly what he would recommend we plant, all conversation halted from Mr. Wineinger. We don’t know why. He quit responding. He never showed up for our appointment. We think it was because he realized that we wanted something much smaller than he was going to propose and even though we were willing to pay his fee of $100 just to come out, we just weren’t worth his time. So, this is just a “know when you are getting” when you go to Mr. Wineinger’s home : 1. He has few items to look at. 2. He is trying to upsell you into something you don’t want. 3. He is unreliable and does not show up for his scheduled appointment.
