lolamcm replied:I do not know of any local places currently doing it. I use to donate my hair every few years (basically as soon as it grew back, I’d chop and donate over and over). I would have the stylist cut in a ponytail to the minimum length and send it in the mail to this organization: [locksoflove.org](https://locksoflove.org/forms/). I also have a vague recollection of using some Pantene program once, also via mail. Note: Back then I made sure my hair met all the requirements (e.g. not colored, minimum length) but I don’t remember what all those were.

Most people aren't really aware of what hair charities like Locks of Love do. LOL specifically sells hair donations to buy good wig-making hair to create wigs for people/children with alopecia. Looking for a good priced salon to get my hair cut at... my hair is reaaaally long and with the heat its killing me lol not to mention my 6 month oold always pulling it. Something under $20 and open today. Would rather not go to smartstyles in Walmart ....
