  I suddenly lost sight in my right eye. Two weeks ago out of nowhere, a blurred black spot came into the focal point of my eye and has yet to leave. I'm all for accommodating guests, but this one is overstaying their welcome. I think it's time to get it checked. Anyone know a good ophthalmologist or optometrist in the LA area? Not sure what specialty is right for such a thing. (I googled my symptoms and it seems to be a detached retina), so..... Suggestions welcomed.
