What search terms should I be using to find somebody who can sell a piece to me or even cut a custom sized piece? is it a sawyer? a lumberjack? Sorry if I'm a little ignorant! So far I've just been using "wood slabs" which turns up results mostly for large tables and countertops, whereas I'm looking for a more specific smaller piece. Thanks guys, lemme know if you need more info! I've been on the hunt for a while now and keep turning up empty.

  I just googled "wood slabs" and it came up with several places in the US. Not sure how you ended up at a Brazilian company... For example: http://www.keimlumber.com/ https://www.woodslabs.com/ https://www.advantagelumber.com/ But there are probably mills closer to you as well.
