About us
Following in the footsteps of both his Father and Grandfather Jon Leeson, is a third generation signwriter with over twenty-five years of experience.
Based in Leicestershire in the East Midlands, Jon's work has been featured many times in various publications: Signcraft Magazine, Sign Business Magazine (Jon placed 3rd in their Auto Art contest in 2001), A Magazine About Letterheads and is a regular contributor to Professional Painter & Decorator Magazine
Working under the name LetterKnight, Jon specialises in beautiful, bespoke, hand painted lettering and sign-work the draws heavily on traditional styles and themes, but often with an eye-catching contemporary twist.
After close consultation with the client Jon, produces pencil and ink sketches of the design, before rendering the final artwork using a variety of techniques including hand-painting and lettering, pinstriping, coachlining, gold leaf and glass engraving.
The result being stunning, hand-crafted custom artwork and signage applied to virtually any surface, vehicle or object that you care to think of.

Philippa J. asked:What would you expect to pay for some really good lettering and a bit of scroll type pattern for the name of your boat. We want some lettering that isn't the standard font and is apparently 'complex' with lots of good shading and other details. We've been quoted the thick end of £1000 - it seems expensive to me but I haven't shopped around yet. I thought there's probably a wealth of experience on here.
