Is there anyone who really loves food that has a recommendation for a good place to eat in Jefferson City. I'm super frustrated with the most of the options I've found so far. Every time I eat out I end up walking out after reading the menu or end up feeling like I paid too much money for something thrown together without regards for mechanics of flavor or preparation. I'm not a snob I like greasy diner food and a hole in the wall ethnic restaurant just as much as a six course elegant meal. I'M JUST NOT FEELING THE LOVE. I ended up walking out 2 reataurants as it was awful tonite. So far I have found that Love Sushi, Ecco Lounge, and MI Pueblo do a great job. They Rock!
These are the things that drive me crazy
1. Menu items that don't have flavors that go togther....eg. crab, artichoke hearts, avocado, Pico de gallo, basil pesto, and red wine vinagrette and red peppers
2. Garlic that has been chopped in the food processor so long that it has reacted with metal blade and caused it to tasted bitter
3. Refrigerated tomatoes. Tomatoes lose their flavor and never ripen in the reforgerator. Wait until they are ripe to refrigerate them
3. Menus that overuse the same ingredient such as provel On the entire menu.
4. Dessert cases that have purchased premade desserts with the paper and pieces of plastic on the display platter
5. Advertising a fresh side of vegetables and serving frozen vegetables drowned in balsamic glaze
6. Spanish rice cooked to the consistency of oatmeal
7. Watching the the cook at a restaurant smoke a cigarette while he cooks your food
Where is the love People?
