  HELP.... Is there any one out there that is a mechanic that can help my daughter. She is there visiting and needs the input sensor replaced and a shop wants to charge her $1000 to fix it. She doesn't have $1000 and according to a friend out here in AZ who is a mechanic, he says there's no way it should cost $1000 and the part should be accessible from under the car.
