About us
Wollongong is the third largest city in New South Wales, and it lies on a beautiful strip of coastal land on the Pacific. Because of its location on the water, it has heavy industry with shipping and packing, but its geography is so gorgeous and unique, industrial activity is quite easy to overlook! As a fun fact, although Wollongong is home to cathedrals and many churches, it also has the biggest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere. Now that’s impressive! Wollongong also has a premier university with over 37,000 students.
As you go into Wollongong’s Central Business District, you’ll be amazed by the amount of shops and entertainment venues it has. The main streets of the Central Business District are Crown Street Mall and Wollongong Central, with a railway line nearby.
On Crown Street Mall you’ll find many cafes and restaurants, but as you move closer to Wollongong Central you will find a true gem: Coco Cubano! If you’ve come with a group of people to visit the area, then what could be better than trying out the group menu?! If you’ve made your way to Wollongong, you will definitely be wanting to check out the area and its outstanding natural sights, but will that will most likely leave you hungry.
Once you’ve filled your belly with great food, it’s time to move on and continue seeing the sights! But what if you’re not the world’s best hiker, or you don’t like to surf or swim? How about taking a drive along the Grand Pacific Drive! When you’re in Wollongong, head south along the drive, and you’ll encounter some beautiful coastal towns, as well as some scenic marvels! And if you decide to head back north to Wollongong, be sure to grab some refreshments from one of the cafes or restaurants, or come back to Coco Cubano, of course!
