All dogs are welcome at Georgia's Canine Grooming Parlour were they will be groomed to a high professional standard in a fully air conditioned, relaxed and friendly environment. (NO CAGES!)
My main aim in my profession is that every dog is happy during their groom. Many dogs may have had a poor experience in their past or they may simply not like it, which is why it is important to me to gain your dogs trust. Many customers have noticed a change in their dogs behaviour after they have been groomed, in being a much more happier & confident dog. It is so lovely to hear a customer say that their dog couldn't wait to come to me for a groom which makes my job even more rewarding.
Puppy's First Groom A Puppy's first groom is a very special & important occasion as it sets the stage for how they respond to being groomed for the rest of their life. That is why it is of high importance to me to gain your puppy's trust for them to enjoy being groomed and to look forward to each groom from then on.
Matts Matts occur when a dogs coat doesn't get brushed, they appear in areas such as armpits, tails, ears, areas where collars and harnesses rest, matts can occur pretty much all over the dog which can be discomforting and painful. The best brush to use is a slicker brush and to keep matts away your dog has to be brushed daily as matts can appear very quickly. When matts get too bad where they are unable to be de matted the most caring thing to do is clip the dog to whatever length the clippers are able to go through the fur where the dog isn't stressed or uncomfortable. In between grooms (Tidy Up's) help to keep your dogs coat in good condition where they will get a bath & dry and brushed right through to the root of the fur with a brush & comb helping to keep away matts.
