  North Shore Animal League....after spending thousands on my boxer, Bella, who died anyway (A&A and Long Island in Plainview), we adopted our dog from North Shore and have been taking him there ever since....not expensive and kind.

  Not exactly Western Suffolk, but Alex Lewyt in Port Washington. 516-883-7575. (Part of North Shore Animal League). LI Veterinary Specialist are great. I’ve used them for emergent care and specialists, but I found them expensive.
