About us
Wicklow Equestrian Centre is beautifully situated just 5 minutes from Roundwood village, on 55 acres of picturesque woodland in the Wicklow Mountains. For anyone wanting to experience the joy of horse riding, Wicklow Equestrian is the ideal place to visit and perhaps stay a while in our purpose built accommodation.
The facilities are top class, with two recently built outdoor arenas (25mX45m and 30mX60m), show-jumping and cross-country fences. All stabling is in indoor, bright and airy barns.
We have a team of qualified BHS instructors with many years experience teaching all ages and levels of riders. We can develop complete beginners up to competition standard in a fun and safe environment.
Here at Wicklow Equestrian Centre, children are especially welcome - find out more about our tiny trotters. We specialise in providing lovely, kind, experienced ponies for our clients. Children taught by us have gone on to compete very successfully at national and international level, as well as becoming responsible horse/pony owners!
Weekend saddle club groups are a unique opportunity for young people to engage in equestrian activities in a mentored social setting.
Trekking always available with suitable safe horses for all levels of riders. There are beautiful, safe forestry hacks around the property with access to the river.
Career training is offered to individuals who wish to develop a career in the equine industry, and preparation is provided for BHS and FETAC exams.
Pony camps are always on offer and children can participate in shows and events from our centre.
