  Travbuddy.com has a ton of forum posts asking for the same advice . Use the search function and you'll find no shortage of information on where and when to go, routes, accommodation and how to get around. Definitely find out when the full moon party is and factor that in :) good luck!

  I aways recommend checking out the travbuddy.com website. The forum is great. Very diverse. Covers countries all over the world. And alot of experience there. Everything depends on what you're looking for, when you want to go, interests, budget, how diverse you want it to be. Are you an off the beaten path kind of person, or someone who wants to be in an organized tour. I've been to 43 countires now (mostly backpacking on my own) and absolutely love travelling and definitely encourage it! So with that being said, you need to think about what you'd like out of the experience :)

The forums are excellent and there are alot of experienced travelers/backpackers both thrifty and willing to shell out for places to stay, things to see and do ect.
