  I need some help.please keep anonymous I was served with paper from small claims court from someone I used to be friends with. She is claiming I owe her 500 dollars. I never received any money from her. I don't know what to do to fight it. I am only a full time student. I don't work and am a single mom, I don't have any money to sacrafice. If anyone has any suggestions it would help a lot. I have never had to deal with this before.

  There is a legal phone line you can call -only on Tuesday night, though, from6-8. Keep trying-sometimes it's very busy.The# is 1-800-642-3617. They may be able to help you. If you are a student and a single mom, you should qualify for legal aid-it's there at WVU. I would check it out.

  Just wanted to share this-if nobody calls you back, you can call this number for free legal advice. 800-642-3617. Only on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. They can tell you if they think you have a case, also I think they can tell you what lawyers in your area would be best for your case. Line is real busy sometimes-keep trying!
