I have been seriously considering modifying the appliqué, changing the silver-toned crystals and beads for rose gold-toned ones. I adore everything about this dress, but I exclusively wear rose gold jewelry and the more I look at it, the more I think it would be nice to match. I know nothing about sewing. Is this possible? I'm not concerned about cost, though time may be a factor. This dress won't even ship until June for my mid-October wedding. If it is possible, does anyone have a recommendation for a seamstress in the DMV? I live in Baltimore but am happy to explore anywhere within the DC corridor that is actually good.

  It may be too far out for you, but I'm using [Lien's Dressmaking and Alterations](http://www.liensdressmaking.com/) in Herndon, VA and I couldn't be happier with her and the results. She really knows her stuff and is super adorable and easy to work with to boot. She's highly rated on weddingwire and yelp, but I found her through a recommendation from a friend who also used her quite happily for her wedding dress alterations.
