About us

The Alliance is a non-profit organization that offers along with French classes a variety of social and cultural activities: café-croissant, lunch in French, conferences, exhibits, workshops, and of course wine & cheese !
We also shelter a library where members can borrow books, CDs and DVDs.

Hi everyone, My boyfriend and I are going to France in September for 2 weeks. We'll be renting a car and driving around the country side. We have no set itinerary as of right now, other than Medoc / Bordeaux area as I'm running a marathon there. My issue is we don't speak French (not more than a couple of words). My experience in smaller towns in Europe, not many people speak or understand English. I'm wondering if anyone would suggest a class to take or learning tool so we have at least enough knowlege to get by; being polite, ordering food, shopping and to try and generally embrace the language of the country we're visiting Thanks in advance
