Hey New Yorkers, anyone have a dentist that they recommend? Message me or comment.

Dr. Galperin at Chelsea Dental Arts. I was one of his first patients when he opened. He's been wonderful to me, my family, and my friends ever since. Probably the most honest dentist in NYC -- tries to figure out how you can pay the least, and visit him less, rather than the usual trying to sell you on waste-of-money cosmetic procedures or playing with the newest high-tech toy they bought. Does weekend and evening hours for convenience, works with you if you don't have insurance (as is my case currently), did a fantastic job on my mom when she had a filling emergency in NYC (his "temporary" fix lasted longer than her last permanent one)... Just can not say enough good things about him and his practice. http://www.chelseadentalarts.com/
Looking for a friendly dentist for someone with anxiety I was hoping I could put off finding a dentist in NYC for a while longer, but I just lost a filling so I'll need to find one ASAP.
It would be nice to find an affordable dentist since I don't have dental insurance, but the main thing is that I need someone gentle and patient because I have always had a fear of the dentist. Please let me know if you know of one who makes you feel really comfortable.
Manhattan is preferable but I'm willing to travel a bit.

Even with full coverage I had a 14 year gap in dental appointments. My wife and I been with http://www.chelseadentalarts.com regularly for the last 4 years. Its a small clinic, very personalized service. It they weren't exceptional I would have been happy to wait for another 14 years before going back to see a dentist.
