Can anyone recommend a good dentist, preferably in the Boston area, that is not a complete disaster and knows how to correct tooth problems (preferably the first time around)? Please and thank you. Lucy Suran

Dentist recommendations? So, as the title implies i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good dentist. I haven't been in about 5 years or so, yes i know that hasn't been the best decision but i really hate going to the dentist. I have several cavities that i know need to be dealt with, and given that i actually have insurance right now i should really get on that.
Ive been reading reviews and looking at different places, but for something as important as this its nice to get opinions from real people too. Ive been asking family/friends, but none of my family members and a lot of my friends don't live in Boston, so they haven't been a ton of help.
If anyones recommendation pans out i promise to buy them a drink at the next meetup, if one that doesn't conflict with one of my classes ever comes along!

[Seaport Dental](http://www.seaportdental.com/) was really nice. Modern equipment, nice staff. I usually hate the dentist but it was a very pleasant visit! Get off at south station, cross the congress st bridge and keep walking down congress st until you pass the convention center, and it's in a building right near there. (about 10 minutes)

When I worked in the city I went to [Seaport Dental](http://www.seaportdental.com/) on D St. in the Seaport. There's a Silver line station pretty close by and they also run a free shuttle ever 20 minutes from South Station.
