  After going around the globe - America, Paris, Venice, Rome, Maldives, Norway, Hong Kong, Canada and India -in just one afternoon deciding on a honeymoon location in October the Lake District was the final choice! But where in the Lakes?! It would be our first visit (oh, the shame!) and we'd like a place that is divinely romantic, great for walks and away from crowds. Can anyone recommend a place to stay, please...self catering or a hotel or a high quality inn with rooms we would consider.

  Try Kitty House Farm - delightful B & B. Pam would spoil you rotten. Then walk up Catbells for the great views. Last time we went to celebrate our anniversary we were the only people up there.
