In celebration of Earth Day, Green Education, Inc., is proud to present the fourth annual Green Prize Festival on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Houghton Park 6301 Myrtle Ave., Long Beach, CA
The Green Prize Festival is a one-day event highlighting urban farmers, artisanal chefs, live entertainment, artists, green technology, environmental organizations as well as education through workshops, demonstrations and guest speakers. The event also features a free bike valet, beer garden, eco-friendly vendors, food trucks and children’s activities.
Festival Founder, Stella Ursua of Green Education notes, “In an effort to highlight and promote local achievements in sustainability and to create a more environmentally focused city, not only on Earth Day but everyday, we are proud to introduce the “Green Prize” annual award program. This prestigious award will honor those illustrating excellence in sustainability within the city of Long Beach, whether it be an individual, school, neighborhood, restaurant, non-profit, business or governmental body.”
