  Thank you for the add. My wife and I are just beginning our planning for our trip. We plan to travel via the Interstates to Waynesboro,VA, and then south along the Blue Ridge Parkway from mile marker 0 to the end in Cherokee,NC. Any tips, camping, hotel, or dining recommendations are all more than welcome.

  Parts of the Parkway may be closed do to fires or construction. check at 828-298-0358 for road conditions. (Not sure what web site you would use).

  Frank, I like staying in the federal campgrounds because they are right on the parkway. The down side is that, i think, only the Mt Pisgah one has showers.
