Affordable gym that isn't goodlife/movati? Can no longer afford my good life membership, looking for something that isn't good life/movati/fit 4 less. I'm looking for a decent gym with a good weight section. In the St.Laurent area and can drive.

I was going to suggest my gym, the [Ottawa Athletic Club](http://ottawaathleticclub.com/), but it's roughly the same price as GoodLife or Movati. If Fit4Less isn't for you, the only other places that come to mind are [Anytime Fitness on Montréal Road at Ogilvie Road](https://www.anytimefitness.com/gyms/3152/gloucester-on-k1 j-6 m9/), and [EPIC Fitness & Lifestyle on Beechwood Avenue at Jolliet Avenue](https://www.epicfitnessottawa.com/).
Fitness/Personal Training I'm relatively new to the city, and I'm hoping to start some fitness training. Does anyone have any recommendations on personal trainers they know are good and get results?
Thanks everyone.

It would help if you specified which part of the city you reside and/or work in, so that people from said area(s) could chime in with recommendations conveniently located for you. I personally go to the [Ottawa Athletic Club](http://ottawaathleticclub.com/), and speak highly of them and their trainers. They only have the one location on Lancaster Road in the East end, however, thus it may not be convenient for you. Good luck with your fitness journey. 🙂
Looking for a personal trainer Hey all. Mid twenties female here. I'm considering personal training. I'd like to work with someone to develop a plan to make me truly fit, not just look good/lift heavy things a couple of times. I have some weight to lose, but also I want to apply to the RCMP and I want to be in pretty good shape when I do it. I have a Good life membership, but I'm not interested in their training programs. I found they push the fit fix too much and waste time. Anyone here know a trainer who would be into this endeavour lol?

If you're open to switching to the [OAC](http://ottawaathleticclub.com/) gym (and if its location works for you; it may not), I *highly* recommend [Devin](http://ottawaathleticclub.com/oacfitness/our-trainers/) (scroll down the page). Very down-to-Earth, realistic, and is good at getting to know his clients and developing a program that suits their goals.
