  Goodbye Portland So I moved to Portland August 2015 after college. Sadly, I will be moving back home end of this month. I’ve gotten to explore and see so many different things since I’ve been here and would love some recommendations as to what I should see before I leave. I have 4 weeks left here and want to experience some things before I take off. Here are the things I’ve done: -coast -ski/snowboard -hike -central Oregon -Gorge -local Coffee -rent expensive studio -local Brewery -local Winery -food trucks -Blazers game -Timbers game -Ducks game -zoo I feel like I’ve done my fair share of adventures here. Still would love some recommendations on where to go/what to see.

  Happy trails. Nearly 3 years in a strange town away from home is a pretty good run. I did something similar after college, and I'm glad I did. It was fun to come back here and reconnect afterward, although it wasn't the same Portland as before, in that "you can't go home again" or "you never step in the same river twice" way. On the west side, the [museum of rocks and minerals](https://ricenorthwestmuseum.org/) is worth a visit. Powell's Books. Pittock Mansion.

  Hi everyone! My new husband and I are on our honeymoon and are headed through central washington down to Oregon and over to the coast. Any suggestions on where to look for gems along the way. We've stopped in at redtop to look for geodes, found some. And ellensburg to look for blues. No luck. Would love some suggestions
