Anyone have recommendations for Space Pak (sp?) or ac installation companies? We have a 100+ house, want to keep the radiator heating system, and need to retroconvert some ac into our old house ASAP. Too hot for us :( TIA!

I used American Vintage Home to re-route one of our existing space-pak vents. Cheap, prompt, and friendly service. They seemed to know their way around the system. On the downside, they examined my system and told me I needed to do two things that I don't think are a problem (given the system has performed worry free for almost 20 years). I didn't do them.

We also used American Vintage Home-great service-and clean up every day as they finished! And I love having whole house AC-and radiators!

Hands down, one of the best contractors we ever hired. American Vintage Home. They went through walls when every other contractor told us they had to build it out. The whole process was seemless. System works great. And they understand the requirement not to mess with the character of our vintage home. Oh yeah, and their quote was equal to or less then the others I received.
Anyone have an a/c service company you are actually happy with? Really need someone versed in Unico (SpacePak type) systems. Thanks! Hope you are cool. :)

Don't know a lot about this company, but they seem to be the experts in spacepack, so we had http://www.americanvintagehome.com/ come out this spring and reroute one of our spacepack lines and add another. I thought their price on that was extremely reasonable. I also had them do a full check maintenance on our AC system, which I thought was average professional pricing. They did end up recommending 3 things they said I really should do, but on reflection, none of them seem to be a problem (or at least haven't been for 15+ years just the way they are). I politely declined, but they weren't too pushy about it.
