Looking for (raw) vegan restaurants in New York hi guys,
I am going to NYC in August and I wonder if you guys know any good (raw)vegan restaurants/lunchrooms to go to?
Thanks!
EDIT: wooooow! Thank you guys very much! I am going to have an AWESOME time there, can't wait. I think this post has the most reactions I've ever got :) My sister (24) is getting graduated and I (20/F) am going to New York for the second time! ( first time when I was 13 - I live in the Netherlands) I'm soooo exited!

[Candle Cafe](http://www.candlecafe.com/) and [Candle 79](http://www.candle79.com/) aren't entirely raw, but they have plenty great raw options (that are clearly marked as such on the menu as 'live'). I can't get enough of the zucchini enchiladas at Candle 79 - so good.
Can anyone recommend a relatively healthy place to eat with vegetarian options somewhat in the vicinity of Jacob Javits Center?

Candle Cafe: Organic vegans food fresh from farm to table. 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's popular among my vegan friends, but a cab ride away from Javitz if you are willing. http://www.candlecafe.com/
I'm moving to Brooklyn (working in NYC) in about a month so if anyone has any recs on vegan/vegan friendly restaurants please comment! I'm sure there's plenty just wanna get a list going. Thanks :)

awesome thanks guys, that's a good start for me. move in april, an awesome friend of mine who lives in BK bought me a NYC guide for vegan dining. I'm so excited to have tons of options! I remembered this place http://www.candlecafe.com in the upper east side if anyone is visiting the city and wants a nicer dinner out, someone had mentioned it on my last visit as the place to take your non vegan friends who will have no complaints it's that good. wasn't able to check it out that trip, its now on my list though, with all you've mentioned. Thanks.
Can anyone recommend a great #vegan restaurant or cafe in New York?

Thanks guys for all your help :) I've been checking out the websites for all your suggestions and they all sound amazing! I'm posting the web links here so my friends can access them too... http://www.candlecafe.com/, http://oneluckyduck.com/pages/pure-food-and-wine/, http://sacredchow.com/. The Cinnamon Snail truck looks cool too... if you can track it down ;) http://www.cinnamonsnail.com/
Is anyone on here familiar with New York City's vegan restaurant and bakery? If yes any recommendations? I'm heading there with my mother this weekend and particularly craving a good old cinnamon bun!
