  Hello can anyone help a family of 7 with shelter and job leads. We just moved here from Nebraska due to a really bad situation with the kids father. We are currently staying in a hotel bit Wednesday is our last day and the shelters will not take our 17yr son. Ages ate 4, 7, 8, 11 and 17. Willing to show any proof we have to and meet in person if possible. We want a room to rent out. We can help out with any type of work and can even pay out daily pay jobs. We got here Friday and have not secured jobs yet. Please any info or help is really appreciated. Thanks x posted

  Will we be meeting at the Lowell splashdeck area tomorrow (Sat.) afternoon to discuss the issue? Anyone who is albe: put in time researching how similar issues have affected other schools/neighborhoods and/or other options for where the new Pov could potentially live. I feel that we need to have a balance between keeping our hearts/minds open to the people who work hard to help those less fortunate and also arm ourselves with facts/research/ideas/motivation to help the Pov live somewhere more reasonable, otherwise all our energies could be squandered. Let us know if we have a time for a meeting before Monday!

  Here is a link to "The Bridge" Shelter in Dallas. It looks like a great facility. http://www.mdhadallas.org/news/news_080310.aspx It doesn't look like it is near any elementary schools, however!
