About us

Wilma Groh, who was a resident at Monterey Trellis, took discarded plastic bags & crocheted them into very colorful intricate sleeping mats for the homeless. She handed them out at her church, Foothills United Methodist Church. These mats are very sought after by the homeless. If you would like to learn how to make her mats, The Wil-Mat Project works on the bags on every Tuesday's at 11 AM at Cali Comfort Restaurant & Sports Bar at 8910 Troy Street, Spring Valley, CA 91977.
