Purple Dog is personalized pet dog training run by Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Tammy Brooks. Tammy has more than 20 years experience training people to train their dogs.
Tammy teaches foundation partnership skills such as understanding the language of "dog", training so that your dog can learn, and focusing on what you would like your dog TO do.
Basic behaviours like attention and impulse control are key to making training safe, fun, and easy on both ends of the leash.
Lessons are private unless otherwise requested. Lessons are held at Tammy's place or in your home.

Its pretty normal for them to regress when it's 200 below and or 4 feet of snow. If it's just pee and all of a sudden and more frequent you probably want to make sure it's not a bladder infection (can happen because of trying to hold it due to snow and cold). Just start over if it's not health - your puppy will pick it right back up :)

She's a lovely dog, and knows basic commands but she definitely picks and chooses when she should listen to them.. If she's doing something I don't approve of I stop it and tell her no only for her to get incredibly loud and aggressive. She chews on a particular blanket and when I move her or the blanket away she'll bite my arm and bark at me. A few times I'd take her outside and tell her to pee, she'd look at me and sniff the grass and then go crazy, jumping, biting at me and trying to attack while I was literally just standing there telling her to go pee. She also has terrible separation anxiety.. The metal wires of her kennel are bent out of shape from her trying to escape when I've tried leaving her there, but when I leave her outside/in the garage she tears apart my shoes if they're left there (obviously I try to move away anything she can chew but she can chew basically anything, including a bottle of shoe Leather protectant which got everywhere..) And when my boyfriend comes over she's always biting and barking at him, especially if he hugs me. She jumps on everyone, and will not listen to me when I tell her to sit in the heat of her excitement. When she wants to play she's persistent and usually shoving her toys into my face or leg or arm or whatever, and she gets bored so easily. She's a great dog overall but I have no idea how to train all these different issues at onceTammy B. replied:Sara let me know if I can be of help. Until you have tried other means of training I would stay away from a shock collar. Using one coukd create a fear or intensify any behaviour or aggression.
