  Hi all. Has anyone replaced their large window in the front lounge - 280cm width by 210cm height? If so, could you let me know if you think £2,300 is too much for today's price for a A+ rated window/dwarf wall (45cm). I have no idea - never had to replace windows (and need to, wil be taking loan to pay it). Also does anyone know of someone who can help fix the disabled shower in my bathroom, as it's leaking into the kitchen. Insurance can't help with that. My children really want a bath, but it seems like a complex and expensive job - does anyone know anyone who could assist if I buy the items. I really need to get prices right and not be taken for a ride. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated. I ask here as some of you might live in a similar house - semi in Thornton Rd.

  Hi Lilli, My plumber is a Rob Lebentz ( do not trust that spelling) who is superb. Like all good tradesmen he is always busy but if you have an emergency he will get to you asap. If you tell him I have recommended you that might help. His mobile is 07880700426 I live in one of the detached houses in Sherborne. I had all the windows and doors replaced early this year by SEH and that came to about £7 k or maybe £8 k if that helps as a guide. I had the back door, window and large window done first which was about £3 k I think. I hope that helps. Paul Cooper
