There are a group of motels near the Massaponax Exit south of Fredericksburg (exit 126 off I95) these are the closest to the start of the event and there are lots of restaurants near by. You can go for the price and conveniences you like best.   Hi Ed! We, too have to stay at a hotel when we come to town. Here are three: The Country Inn and Suites www.countryinns.com, Comfort Suites (618) 997-9133, The Hampton Inn (618) 998-9900 and there are more. I usually just google Marion Illinois Hotels.
