Therapist Search - Resources? Hey y'all,
I've been trudging through the bureaucratic mess that is finding a fitting mental health professional from government issued insurance. I finally have a list of mental health professionals in my area that would work under my insurance.
The problem is, the list, is a long, long, LONG list. I'm looking to narrow down the list and see which ones might be a good fit for me.
Are there any resources for looking up therapists, their specialization, their approaches, training, reviews, and things of that nature? Kind of like a "Rate my Professor", but for therapists?
Thank you!

[www.psychologytoday.com](http://www.psychologytoday.com) [www.goodtherapy.com](http://www.goodtherapy.com) [www.theravive.com](https://www.theravive.com) In most of these, you can search by specialty, gender, location, insurance panels, etc. Reviews are best found on Yelp, but they're not very useful only because plenty of great therapists get one bad review from a client who may have retaliated against them online (for any number of reasons; the therapist, legally/ethically, is not allowed to dispute any online review ever posted about them).
Most recommend psychiatrist. Thanks :) preferably one recommended by a doctor ?

theravive.com is an on-line directory for finding mental health doctors, counsellors and therapists... it's like a yellow pages http://www.theravive.com/cities/locations.aspx
I think you can research and look through reviews through this site? It looks like it anyway...http://www.theravive.com/therapy/child-psychologist-pittsburgh-pa
