Since its launch in 1997, The Moth has presented thousands of stories told live and without notes.
Moth shows are renowned for the great range of human experience they showcase. Each show starts with a theme, and the storytellers explore it, often in unexpected ways. Since each story is true and every voice authentic, the shows dance between documentary and theater, creating a unique, intimate, and often enlightening experience for the audience.
Through ongoing programs in more than 25 cities, The Moth has presented over 20,000 stories to standing-room-only crowds worldwide and it currently produces more than 500 live shows each year. Additionally, The Moth runs storytelling workshops for high school students and adults in underserved communities through their Education and Community Programs.
The Moth has an enthusiastic following for all of its content. The Moth Podcast is downloaded over 30 million times a year, and each week, the Peabody Award-winning Moth Radio Hour is heard on over 450 radio stations worldwide. The Moth’s first book, The Moth: 50 True Stories was a NYT Bestseller and its new book will be released in Spring, 2017.
Does anyone have a suggestion how to make driving long distances easier with IC? I start having pain if I'm in the car longer than an hour.
Sarah K. replied:
yoga pants, leggings anything strech that won't push on your bladder, water, bring a favorite pillow for back pain, I will pack some comfort foods "treat yo self", and I always load up my phone with podcast or audiobooks to listen to (another great distraction from the pain). For podcast I suggest Serial, https://www.facebook https://www.faceb https://www.facebook.com/11789416079ook.com/115546108422 .com/20778076336 This American Life, Radiolab Podcast, The Moth, and Snap Judgement. All are free and avalible on Itunes. Also plan out what places you will stop at to use the restroom, the better and bigger the gas station the better the restrooms will be. I hope this helps!
I'm gonna be spending a lot of time on the road going to and from my job, so I need to deck out my iPod. Anyone recommend some good music, stand-up, or podcasts for me to listen to?
