  For about a day and half there has been a less then 1 yr. old cat stuck about 40 ft. up in a tree in my yard. Their owners are very aware and have done nothing to try and get him down. He is still up there, through the bad storms, and will not budge. The fire dept. came out yesterday however said they are unable to do anything. His brother hangs around as well as the owners do not bring them inside. Poor thing cries are getting louder and louder. Most opinions have been if you put food down give him space he will come down himself. Would anyone have any tips or even a tree service willing to come out to get this cat out of the tree? Appreciate any help.

  Definitely need a tree service with a bucket truck. Fire departments are usually non-cooperative. Some years back Johnson Tree Service helped in Balto. Co. and got a cat down that was in a tree for over a week (number I have is 410-542-5345 - no idea if they are even still in business). Another number I have is Community Tree at 410-298-4060. Start calling tree services in your area and hopefully one will have a heart.
