  http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/ - free, awesome for kids and adults. A few minutes out of Gulf Shores. Lamberts for dinner - they throw rolls at you (kids love it) Dolphin cruise,Gulf Shores beautiful and fun

  Grand Marlin Pensacola Beach. Jellyfish and Lillian's Pizza in Perdido and make sure to visit the Aviation Museum on Base. It's free and awesome. http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org

  The National Aviation Museum in Pensacola is only about an hour away. It has been a few years, but I remember enjoying it. The Blue Angels are flying on the 13 th of July in Pensacola as well. http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/

  Exploring the Panhandle, recommendations please? Taking a week off to drive around the panhandle... looking for cool (inexpensive, we are on a fairly tight budget) off-the-beaten-path type things to do and see while we're up there. This would include beaches, parks, bars, restaurants and etc. Also, any recommendations on decent cheap hotels/motels would be greatly appreciated too. Anything from Apalachicola to Pensacola is fair game. Thanks!

  If you make it to Pensacola, you have to go to the [Naval Aviation Museum](http://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/). It's great for families, and free to get into! Pensacola is great in general because it has a lot of historic charm, beaches, and it's very family friendly.
