My husband was promised a reimbursement check after he bought a boat from Michael Rising. The boat had a bad, leaky gas tank. We were on the lake with our family when my husband discovered gas was everywhere. No telling what would have happened if the gas had reached the battery. Anyway, my husband had to buy a new gas tank and logged about 10-12 hours taking out the old tank and installing the new one. I presume that Michael knew about the bad tank but did not disclose that info to my husband at the time of purchase. Michael called my husband a few weeks ago to ask about the boat, at which time my husband told him about the tank. Michael said he wanted to make good on the boat purchase and would send him a check. That was 3 weeks ago and no check yet. We've called, texted and emailed and...nothing. I've even gone on Facebook and send Michael a private message. My husband gave Michael Rising and Rising Motors the benefit of the doubt. I'm now contacting the Attorney General's office to file a report.

The owner of Rising Boat llc promised us a new boat propeller after the difficulties that were caused for 3 weeks of waiting on a motor to be repaired. After about a week, he said to come by the shop and get the propeller. We arrived to the business on the scheduled date but of course, he was closed. On top of that we weren’t the only ones there looking for some help (these were regular business hours that they should’ve been open). He finally called an employee while we were all waiting and stated that he was at the beach and would bring the propeller to us. He informed us later, Friday evening, that he would drop it off on his way to eat. Three days later still no propeller and no phone call or text. The good reviews on the site are most likely employees of the business or family members. Sorry way to do business. We previously had this review posted due to a terrible experience with Rising Boat llc and the owner asked us to remove it in exchange for the propeller.
“My dad was coming to pick up the boat and asked to speak with someone about the work that had been done, he also had a few questions. The infamous Michael was of course nowhere. Could not be reached by phone or text. The other mechanics were also not available to speak with. Waited two hours, the boat had still not been pulled around. The woman behind the desk was no help. Spoke with another woman who had stated that her boat had been at this place for over two years and she still had not seen it, she was waiting two hours before we even got there...she left. DO NOT USE THEM, AND PLEASE DO NOT RECOMMEND TO A FAMILY MEMBER OR FRIEND.”
Would never recommend!
